Alpenglow: Phase 2 Condo’s in Whistler Village

Alpenglow is a condo building on the edge of Whistler village consisting of studios – 2 bedroom units ranging in size from 315 – 670 sq ft. The units have a phase 2 covenant which means that technically owners are only meant to use the units up to 56 days per year and the rest of the time the unit should be rented our via a central front desk/management service. The Alpenglow has operated sort of on its own accord for a number of years, with many owners choosing to do their own rentals, and even long term tenants in there. The RMOW tried to crack down on this a couple years ago, however it seems people are still bending the rules. If you’re a new investor looking at the Alpenglow, be very wary! The complex does offer a small outdoor swimming pool, hot tub and a gym, and is located close to a number of restaurants and shops.
