Aspens…. the cream of the crop. If you like rental revenue that is. The Aspens is one of the most desirable complexes if you can find a unit in the right location in the building. Its proximity to the slopes and Blackcomb Gondola practically rent the units itself. The complex was built in 3 phases through the early 90’s and consists of 1 – 2 bedroom units ranging in size from 550 – 1075 sq ft. The complex has a phase 1 covenant allowing owners to rent out their units when not being used personally, to help cover costs of ownership. There are a couple of onsite management teams, or you can use another or even manage your unit yourself. The units do not come with laundry however which is one of the downsides. You must use the shared laundry services. The units are also not meant to be lived in full time as a principle residence as mail is not allowed to be delivered to the properties. But the complex makes up for it with incredible outdoor swimming pool and multiple hot tubs, ski valet service and slopeside access. If you’re looking for a second home to enjoy whistler in a prime location then Aspens should be high on your list.
